My experience at Mil The Boutique Residence was a mixed bag. On one hand, the location was fantastic and the vibe felt homely, almost like staying with family. However, I faced issues with my room, including a lack of hot water and inadequate sound insulation, which detracted from my overall comfort.
My first room had issues, but the manager upgraded me to a larger one right away. Still, the room's layout felt cramped and the noise from the surroundings was bothersome.
The staff, especially Bernd, Jazz, and Dang, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. However, the lack of night staff and ongoing maintenance issues definitely impacted my stay.
The location was perfect, right in the center of town, making it easy to access shops and local attractions. I loved being within walking distance to such vibrant areas.
Breakfast was simple and felt casual, which I appreciated, but it could have offered a bit more variety to match other aspects of the stay.
The pool and gym felt a bit forced and underwhelming. The gym was minimal, and the pool appeared cramped in the foyer area, which didn’t really please me.

I had a good stay at The Boutique Residence in Penang, where the atmosphere felt more like a cozy homestay than a typical hotel. Bernd, the manager, was incredibly accommodating, offering a free upgrade to a larger room after a slight issue with the initial one. However, while the location was fantastic for exploring Georgetown, some amenities could use an update.
My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, especially the bed and pillows. However, not all rooms may offer this level of comfort, as I heard that some can feel cramped.
Service was really good, with friendly staff like Bernd, Jazz, and Dang providing a warm and welcoming experience. I felt like I was being hosted by a local family rather than just staying in a hotel.
The location of The Boutique Residence is perfect for visitors, being within walking distance to Little India and numerous attractions. I loved being able to explore the area easily.
Breakfast was simple and homely, with homemade marmalade that added a nice touch. I appreciated the absence of a gluttonous buffet, but options were limited.
The small pool was a refreshing way to unwind after a day of exploring, but some facilities seemed a bit dated and could use improvement.

My stay at Mil The Boutique Residence was a good experience, combining comfort with a personalized touch. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, although I did find the shower amenities a bit on the smaller side. The breakfast was simple yet satisfying, perfect for a laid-back start to the day.
The room was lovely and spacious, featuring a beautiful bedroom upstairs and a comfortable living area downstairs. I appreciated the calming atmosphere, making it ideal for couples or families.
The service was excellent—Mr. Bernd and the team truly made me feel at home. Their attention to detail and personalized service was one of the best aspects of my stay.
The location was fantastic, situated between Yap Temple and Masjid Kapitan Kling. I could easily walk to many local attractions and eateries, which made exploring effortless.
Breakfast was decent for a boutique hotel. It was nice not having to venture out, especially in the heat, but options were limited.
The hotel had great facilities, including bike rentals. The accessibility to local food stalls and attractions added to the convenience.

I had a good four-night stay at Mil The Boutique Residence. the room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. The staff was incredibly helpful, adding to my overall enjoyment of the experience. However, parking could be a slight challenge, and I encountered some issues with the bathrooms in the larger room I booked for my family. Overall, I found the charm and service made it a lovely stay.
My room was huge with a comfortable bed, clean pillows, and good amenities. though the bathroom situation in the family room was inconvenient.
The staff was friendly and attentive. making every effort to ensure a pleasant stay.
Nestled in the heart of George Town, the location was perfect. just a short walk to great dining options and attractions.
The complimentary continental breakfast was a wonderful start to my day. especially enjoying the sunny side-up eggs and fresh orange juice.
The hotel is clean and well-decorated. though parking could be a bit tricky, which was a downside.

My stay at Mil The Boutique Residence had its ups and downs. While I enjoyed the spacious room and unique charm, several issues like malfunctioning facilities and a lack of service greatly impacted my experience.
The room was spacious and stylish, combining modern and traditional elements, but the bed was a bit small for my liking.
Service was inconsistent; I found the remaining staff to be apologetic but ultimately unable to resolve issues.
The hotel is ideally located in the old town, close to heritage streets and great local food spots, making it convenient for exploration.
I missed breakfast as the restaurant was closed, but the homemade meals cooked by the manager received high praise.
The facilities were disappointing; I encountered a non-functional air conditioner, poorly maintained pool, and broken gym machines.
